Awesome campground on the shore of Lake O' the Pines. We were in site E122; long paved site with plenty of room for our 34' 5th wheel and 2 vehicles. Lots of room between sites; nestled in the pines and deciduous trees. Found some great hiking trails off the entrance road to the campground. Very peaceful, serene and relaxing; thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay. Excellent crew of volunteers working the entrance station and campgrounds; very friendly and helpful.
Old, quaint, historic town of Jefferson just a few miles to the east; lots of history, good food, trains rolling through town.
Worthwhile to drive around the lake for the views and scattered small towns, all with their own local history and attractions.

We always have a great time at Brushy Creek. We've been coming for over 35 years. We were spastic when this park was shut down for awhile. Can't wait for the E3 section to be repaired and open. Cleanest, and most beautiful camp on the lake.

We love to visit and camp here, and the staff is always nice and care about their visitors. The only complaint I have is the shower and bathrooms are not being cleaned properly.

Our favorite place not far from home, nice spots with almost all having view of water. Clean, well cared for by the volunteers who are extremely nice. Easy access to swimming area and boat ramp. Family atmosphere, walking roads around campsites. Your pets must be on a leash and you must pick up after them. We will be back again and again

Online pictures definitely do not match actual site pads!! Way too close together and roads are too small and narrow. Could use bigger site numbers since they’re thrown around. Probably not on our list to visit again.

recreation.gov app direction for Brushy Creek is wrong. Was able to notice error before entering into GPS. We did get e-mail alerting us and to use address. This was much appreciated but read it after the fact. We also received gate code and that was awesome 👏. Change to the reservation system for us has been a major change for us as it basically eliminates our opportunities to make a change in our day of travel. Yes we can make changes assuming we have cell service.
