Beautiful and clean campsites. Host' were friendly and attentive. Lots of shade and beautiful views. Great family environment, lots of room for bikes, and evening walks. We enjoyed evening rides around the lake in the boat and a little fishing. The town of Jefferson has an excellent BBQ restaurant downtown and we had dinner at "Taste of Caddo" and the shrimp was amazing. Staff were engaging and friendly. Will definitely be back to Brushy Creek.

This park is clean and well maintained! School had started back so it was not crowded at all. We enjoyed visiting with the people that patrol the park. We had a restful, fun weekend and actually caught enough fish for dinner, fishing from the pier. A surprise plus was a new pizza place in the little store right before you turn into the park. 5 ⭐️ for a great weekend!

Terrific park. WAS a crown jewel of the COE System. Now, after being shut down for nearly two years to repair storm damage to som sites, the restroom and showers in area 1 have not been maintained and are a disgrace! Fix up this building and fixtures and get a top rating again

We love Brushy Creek campsites. The sites closest to the swimming area are our favorite, as we like to park our Barge near the beach. There are many great sites in this area with lots of great views.

The staff is great and the place has large spot and during the week is very very quiet. The weekend things get a bit more lively. Good cell coverage on T-Mobile and AT&T.

Nicely maintained park. Sites level and adequate in size and length. Good views. Quiet and overall a very positive experience. I would love to come here in December-february time frame but it closes while the other campgrounds on this lake that are Corps campgrounds are open all year round. I do wish they would rotate this. one of the others - Buckhorn- needs some downtime for repairs - so, it seems that a rotation for closing would be more rationale.

An awesome place that my wife found. Nice swimming spots and boat launch. The sites are nice, facilities clean, no real complaints. Also there was someone routinely driving around on a golf cart, I think it was the park host, so it’s nice that they keep an eye on the place and check in. We did have one small problem, the first night, we lost our power, but thankfully it was for no more than an hour, and it was actually kind of a gnarly storm so it wasn’t surprising.
Also, if you’re not familiar with the area, definitely consider checking out the nearby city of Jefferson downtown. It’s really nice and has tons of culture for such a small town, it was nice. You can rent a golf cart for $10/hr and ride all around the downtown area. McGarrity’s was a good place to eat, the Jefferson General store was super cool, and plenty of other cute stores around. Nice small town vibes. Just be aware that most places there are closed on Monday, and many places close around 3pm during the week, I think. At least some of them do.
