Loved the campground. Site was large and as advertised. Beautiful views of lake. Lots of open space to play with my kids. First time at COE campground. Won’t be last.

Very lovely and quiet. Wonderful places to walk among the gorgeous pine trees. Spots were well-kept and easy to back in to. Will definitely return in the future!

Brushy Creek is an AMAZING COE Park!! The views of Lake O' The Pines is gorgeous, no matter which site you have. It is quiet and so serene. On a clear night, the stars at night will knock your socks off. The pads are asphalt and level. Hookups worked well. It was a bit tricky to find the entrance at first, but once we did, it really wasn't hard at all. We took a drive into Marshall, on which the GPS-guided route provided us a delightful, scenic meander down the local farm roads. For the quality of the camping experience, the value of this COE campground can't be beat! We will definitely return to Brushy Creek COE the next time we are in East Texas.

Great place. Nice big pine trees. Our kids loved riding their bikes around looking for deer up and down the hills. It seems they only allow tents on the tent pads or on the RV pads, so be aware of that. We will be probably be back. ATT and verizon were both good. Verizon was full bars.

Nice park. Had small issue with 20 amp plug not working. If in an rv it would be fine but we were in a tent. We called the front office and they tried to get in touch with maintenance but couldn't. Bathrooms near RV area 1 need to be updated. It was quite chilly and the heat wasn't on in the bathroom and the temp was 62. No soap dispensers or paper towels or hand dryers. The campsite was clean and we'll kept. We had a view of the lake through the trees. Quiet time is not enforced by park rangers or the volunteers so the campers next to us were loud and obnoxious until 1:30 am. Thank goodness they left Saturday. Jefferson is not too far and they have nice antique shops and places to eat. Aside from the few issues we had a very good time.

Nice quite park on the river. The camp host was awesome. It is a self pay, no reservations campground, the water hookup are a little far away. I had to use 75 ft hose. I recommend this place

Getting There
From Jefferson, TX, travel 3.8 mi northwest on Highway 49. Turn left onto FM 729 and continue for approximately 3.5 mi, then turn left again onto FM 726. Travel 5 mi, turn right at the stop sign and follow signs to the park entrance.
Highway access
Brushy Creek is accessible via Highway 49, which is approximately 3.8 miles from Jefferson, TX. Additionally, FM 729 and FM 726 provide further access to the campground.
