Arrived and the Gate Keeper noticed my Senior Pass was about to be changed to the new style. Helped me get that taken care of on the spot. Sites were well maintained and great.

Great site overlooking the lake. Quiet and peaceful. Good level spot and didn’t have unhitch for our one night stay.

Beautiful location, very peaceful, we enjoyed watching the wildlife. The park wasn’t well maintained, the grass needed to be mowed and the sites tidied up.

I've been visiting Buckhorn Creek for the past several years now. It is a beautiful facility with well-kept camping spaces. The boat ramp is one of the best on that lake.

The camping area had a lot of shade. The places are close to each other and there is not a swimming beach at this park, otherwise I would have given it another star. The restrooms and showers were small, but were kept fairly clean. There was no hand soap provided for the sinks. Mostly this park would be good for those who have boats. Many boaters were able to leave their boat in the ways, close to where they camped.

It is so disheartening to see how this park has been allowed to get to the shape it is in today. The site posts are laying on the ground on many sites, the two sites with decks are shameful and dangerous. Sept. of '25 we reserveved one of the deck sites and had to pull a piece of plywood out of their junk pile to lay across a soft spot to keep from falling through the deck...July of '26(almost a year later)...the plywood is still there. Waterfront sites are no longer waterfront because the shoreline has been allowed to grow up. Firepits are always full of trash, cans, bottles etc. when you arrive for your stay. The park lost electricity for about an hour during our recent stay...the park host was no where to be found to answer any questions we all had. Many just packed up and left due to the fact no one knew how long to expect the outage to last and if it was just a park issue or a county wide issue. The grass is rarely mowed and never weedeated around the sites. We don't frequent this park as often as we use to because there are so many other parks that are nicer and well maintained. This really saddens us because this is one of the few parks close to our home. Sorry for such a negative review...but...have been waiting along time to report this...but...just never really knew where to report it that would make any kind of difference. Hopefully our disappointment will be heard today.
