There is a lot of debris from flood, and the bridge is still being worked on which made it difficult to navigate the waterways.

We reserved a site from Thursday to Sunday but ended up leaving Friday because of the constant barking of two dogs that the people had in the campsite next to us. Apparently they are “long term residents” in the site because of the amount of personal belongings such as extra trailers and also with how high the grass was grown up around their camper compared to other sites. We were really surprised at how bad the campground looked compared to the first time we camped there several years ago.

Small, quiet park right on the Brazos River. We were only here one night, but enjoyed our stay. There is a nice little playground our grandkids had fun playing on. You can see the whole park, so didn't feel uncomfortable about letting them ride their bikes around. Our spot was right on the river, and we enjoyed sitting out having our meals, and relaxing with that beautiful view. There are also some of the original structures from the original town of Kimball Bend to check out if you're into History like we are. Verizon does not work in this park....so just be aware.... also apple maps took us to the wrong place first..... be sure and use google maps :)

Stayed at site 25. Was great. Grass well manicured, as in times past it had not been. Views amazing. All hookups in working order.
