Quite campsite and the grounds were kept nice. Trail was freshly cleared and wide to go on. Was only one way along the lake then had to turn around and go back the same way you came. That was ok, but wished there were more trails to take threw the woods etc. Good for a day ride and safe for beginners.

When we were camping at site P25 in October, the entire grassy area around the site was covered in knee-high sandbur stickers. This was our first time camping at this park, so we did not know this was an issue at that site. When we arrived, the gatehouse attendant warned us and did apologize that no management had been done yet. We appreciated the warning, and understand that the entire grassy area would be difficult to manage year-round. However, the sandbur stickers were all the way up to the road and concrete table pad, so there was nowhere to put our tent in the grass. That was the only negative thing about our experience. The bathrooms were well-maintained. Campsite was close to the water, and when the sandburs aren’t sprouting access to the water from the campsite will be nice. We will return to this campground, however if we know the sandburs have sprouted, we will choose a different site that isn’t in the grassy area.

We booked our week longc camping trip months in advance. Let me tell you. We were not happy with the conditions of the camp ground. The grass had not been mowed it was past our knees high. We fought stickers all day even in our tents. It was myself and husband my 16 year old granddaughter and my sister. We were suppose to have our son and 4 more grandchildren come out but I made them cancel because the little ones would get hurt from all the stickers. We stayed 5 days trying to make the best out of a bad situation since we took the tome off from work. But we ended up leaving 2days early. The restrooms were never cleaned but had tissue. It wasn't very enjoyable. Another camper who lived close went home and got their lawn mower. We all enjoyed each other's company but agreed to never go back. I did get an email stating the were refunding me for the two days we didn't stay. But I haven't received the money as of yet.
