Cedron Creek

This was a really good camping spot with beautiful views and sunsets. There is access to the cedron creek to fish or swim. We caught several catfish.

Excellent campground but must make reservations online.

site 53 is great spot and good fishing spot but the park needs to be stricter on people using the swim beach for swimming we had a big group of people around us using the cove for swimming beach and they were in there all hours of the day and night made it hard to fish they have the right to use the cove cause there's no sign saying they can't but if they get a hook in their foot it's not my fault. thats why the parks make swim beach so people can swim and not worry about fishermen or vice versa

Nice park, visit there annually for a family reunion.

This camping trip was great. I do have a complaint about recreation.gov. I previously had to cancel a trip at this same park. Instead of refunding my money like it said they kept the full amount. I cancelled more than a week ahead of time. Appropriate time frame to get full refund minus $10. I tried many times to contact someone to discuss, but conveniently for them, no one ever answered. 😡

Clean & and quiet

I like the park and available amenities, however I had to park my car outside the gate and carry my tent in the first night because there is no code for after hours access. Apparently it says the gate is locked at a certain time on the website, but I assumed it meant like every other park I've been to in Texas....you need a code to enter.
Also, there is no actual walk in access to the water, if you want to swim, expect to have to climb down some small cliffs .
Finally, the biggest issue during my stay, there was a tree stump left behind after removal, it was cut to the perfect height to not be visible when backing up but still tall enough to cause some serious damage to my car.
After this happened I left and gave up my other day reservation. I left my tent and things as well because I was so upset. I don't know why they would leave such a hazard, I expect the damages to my car to end up being over a thousand dollars ....
Aside from these issues m...sure great place to visit, but I doubt I will be going back.

Place was very nice very well shaded in the campsite I was in. Restrooms were clean with both cold and hot water for showers. Nice easy boat ramp to access to load and unload your water craft.
