Winkler Park

The campsite and grounds were well kept. The guest next to us were a nightmare. We stayed three nights and the first two nights were great with neighbors. The third night we got new neighbors and as soon as they showed up it was constant screaming and yelling (kids and adults) that carried on until well after midnight. They parked one of their vehicles in our campsite about 3 ft from our tent. We didn’t push the issue but we should have because after it got cold they decided to sleep in their truck with it running. Exhaust blowing right in the tent. 4 in the morning and they started back in with the loudness and carrying on. No respect for individual campsites, walking right through and hanging out in everyone’s campsites as if it was theirs.

Should have notified the park host but tired to keep the peace….. WILL NOT DO THAT ANYMORE!

I had to ask for refund because when I pulled up park was closed due to Lake being to low, luckily White Flint Park up the street had a slot still available. Now when the Water Level is what it is supposed to be Winkler Park is really nice just this time was not possitive due to having to ask for refund due to gate being locked and closed after paying on recreation.gov not actual Park itself. Like I said I've drove through when Water was normal level and parked looked awesome and dude secured Park well too.
