Calm stay by the water. Loved having shade at spot #5. Spot #6 was also nice and might pick that one next time since it has an easier path to the water. Hot showers and flushable toilets saved the day as well as the volunteers that live on site. Thank yall :) will be back

The campsite and grounds were well kept. The guest next to us were a nightmare. We stayed three nights and the first two nights were great with neighbors. The third night we got new neighbors and as soon as they showed up it was constant screaming and yelling (kids and adults) that carried on until well after midnight. They parked one of their vehicles in our campsite about 3 feet from our tent. We didn’t push the issue but we should have because after it got cold they decided to sleep in their truck with it running. Exhaust blowing right in the tent. 4 in the morning and they started back in with the loudness and carrying on. No respect for individual campsites, walking right through and hanging out in everyone’s campsites as if it was theirs.
Should have notified the park host but tired to keep the peace….. WILL NOT DO THAT ANYMORE!

I had to ask for refund because when I pulled up park was closed due to Lake being to low, luckily White Flint Park up the street had a slot still available. Now when the Water Level is what it is supposed to be Winkler Park is really nice just this time was not possitive due to having to ask for refund due to gate being locked and closed after paying on recreation.gov not actual Park itself. Like I said I've drove through when Water was normal level and parked looked awesome and dude secured Park well too.

Clyde and Fay are amazing people! I feel like a part of the family when I’m there and specifically choose this camp on Belton because if it. The sites are large and are always clean. There may not be electrical at individual sites, but this keeps the place to a more rustic and true camping experience. The park is the only one that is located away from the masses and this only adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The fishing is amazing in the Spring and Fall and the gravel fishing area is easy to launch a boat off; there is no paved launch. There are many to choose from, but this one ranks #1 in my book.
