Cedron Creek Park is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained environment, spacious and clean sites, and friendly hosts. We love Lake Whitney, and we camp there often. While there are several great parks on the lake and river, Cedron Creek is our "Go To" park. Facilities are always clean and cared for. There is a variety of topography to choose from, and plenty of shade in most sites so camping in the heat of summer can still be enjoyed. The location at mid lake make it a great launching pad to see any part of the lake. The boat ramp is on an exposed peninsula so if the lake is rough the launch and loading can get pretty difficult, and sometimes downright scary. On days like that we pull our boat to a different launch, usually upriver to find calmer conditions. The cove at Cedron Creek is a great place to float or fish and our experiences had there are top notch.

This was our first time to Cedron Creek, and we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a wooded area that was beautiful and the grounds were well kept.

Nice place to stay. Needs some maintenance work done at some of the sites. Some of trees need to be trimmed higher so it doesn’t scrap the roof of campers. (52). Would love to see it open year round.
