We love the Cagle camping, watching the different birds Eagles, Woodpeckers, and BlueJays. The weather was great, and we had a rain day that lifted the burn ban so we could have a campfire. We visited with new friends from Alaska and Oklahoma.

In the small loop at Cagle....Host has a dog that is loud and yaps half the day, everyday. They spend two days cutting the dead pine needles. They will do the same area two or three times kicking up dust and giving you a attitude if you ask them to not do your area while you're sitting out. Park supervisor will explain thier just doing thier job, nothing will change. I have read other complaints about the same problem three years ago. There is nothing here but the lake, so if you have a boat with you, you're good to go.

Small camping loops but nice with full hookups. We don't carry our bikes since there isn't much roadway for riding and they aren't allowed on the trails. There are a lot of hiking trails, however. The lake is accessible for bank fishing or there is a boat launch available.

Very nice campground … not our first stay there. The “permanent resident” hosts leave a cheap RV park taste in ypur mouth. Way too much junk and clutter. Very nice folks but ….

Cagle was Excellent as always. The Walker County Burn Ban just lessens the overall Experience!
