Great park, nice and clean. Restrooms were well maintained. The camp hosts, Linda and her husband were exceptionally helpful.
I wish they had a fishing dock. We fished from shore with great results but my husband lost his glasses in the lake trying to retrieve a snagged line. It would also be nice for campers to have a place to clean their fish. This was our second trip here, but we will return more often.

If you are into hiking this s a destination for you. Hiking trails in the park and in Sam Houston National Forest offer something for everyone from beginner to the ambitious. Lake Conroe offers fishing, boating and for those with courage kayaking and canoeing. We are from northwest Oklahoma, on our first paddle we encountered our first freshwater alligator. For us that was the end of the water experience, but for the locals it didn’t seam like a big deal. So enter at your own risk. Beautiful camp sites with full hookups, can’t get any better. If we were closer it would be a preferred destination.
