we only used the camp ground as a staging area from which we tripped out of daily, so we really did not use the facilities enough to give a really good perspective. But, for what we did use it was really nice.
Only one minor complaint, there was never anyone at the entrance booth to ask questions, pay balance or check in with, kind of odd but we managed.

I love the large sites with mature trees for shade. A swimming area is needed to have a nice place to cool off in the Texas heat.

Very hot and humid! Very beautiful with lots of trees. No swimming because of alligators in lake. Hiking, biking and sweat only. Not my favorite.

The sites are shady and spacious. The bathrooms are simple but clean. The showers are great! The campground hosts were friendly and helpful. We loved the views of the lake and all the birds that came to visit.
