What Guests Are Saying
Pat Mayse West is a beautiful and peaceful campground, well-maintained with great views of the lake and surrounding wildlife. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and easy access to facilities, including a dump station and good cell service. While some areas, such as the restrooms and entrance roads, need updates, the overall camping experience is enjoyable, with excellent fishing and a strong sense of community among campers.

The park is really beautiful but in need of updates. The restrooms near our site were vault toilets. We were lakeside the A loop. Site 15 is extremely steep and a little difficult to get into for a larger RV, The road going into the park is in need of repair. The dump station was easy access and had plenty of room for large RV. We visited Paris, Texas, and Hugo, OK, during our stay. Both days were enjoyable. Had strong AT&T service at the park.

i truly enjoy staying at pat mayse lake campgrounds, its always a wonderful experience,i,ve never met a camper that did not feel the same,i usually stay at pat mayse west but the east side campgrounds as well as sanders cove offer excellent camp sites as well.i camp in a tent but at my age i need electric for various electronics that need charging occasionally such as my phone, tablet and laptop for editing photos, the folks with rv's have access to electricity as well, and the water is excellent to drink.and my phone gets 5 bars of reception which is another plus, like i've said i can't compliment the parks accommodations enough, the grounds are kept in great shape by the parks lawn crews but i,ve only encountered them once in six or seven times camping out, good timing i guess,i usually stay for the full two weeks and always regret having to leave,i hope this review is helpful and enjoy camping wherever you are,i do at age 72 and hope to keep camping as long as this body is able.sincerely,john...ps,the views of the lake are spectacular, the fishing great and its a birders paradise, seriously i spotted some sand hill cranes on their migration back to canada, they stopped at the lake for a few days, really something.

Quiet and beautiful views of the lake and wildlife.
Sights a little rough but manageable.
Enjoy our stay every time.

Pat Mayse lake is a very pretty lake. Since this is the only Corp. of engineering lake in Texas under the Tulsa district, it looks like most of the Tulsa districts improvement money is spent on Oklahoma lakes. The entrance roads are in poor condition and some of the rest rooms need help. I love camping and fishing there and will continue to even if I have to put it in 4-wheel drive to get my camper in and out. Thanks for providing this area access.

Pat Mayse West is one of my favorite spots to camp when I come to Texas. I would like to see a bit more attention paid to the bathroom's though....spider's moved in above the toilet looked pretty hungry though I got a kick out of the mud dauber's on the wall. Water got hot when needed and the place is pretty nice, all around.
