What Guests Are Saying
Pat Mayse West is a beautiful and peaceful campground, well-maintained with great views of the lake and surrounding wildlife. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and easy access to facilities, including a dump station and good cell service. While some areas, such as the restrooms and entrance roads, need updates, the overall camping experience is enjoyable, with excellent fishing and a strong sense of community among campers.

We, as Americans, are so fortunate to have the US Army Corp of Engineers and all they do. This was to me a new campsite that I had not camped before. I stayed at the Pat Mayse West campground. A Beautiful place. The restrooms were clean, the campground was clean and just a pleasure to camp at. All the volunteer people were friendly and helpful. I will return probably next year.

Great place. Only draw back was ruff roads and huge slope in our spot. (Was not noted when reserved site)

Hidden gem in Texas. Tall pines and deciduous trees, somewhat remote so less traveled, and then there is the fishing . . . https://youtu.be/-ei9jAm9YIg

Great place to camp, easy access to the lake and fishing. My daughter caught her first fish from the boat dock in Loop A with some worms under a bobber. Brannan's Bass Shop on 271 has everything you might need for fishing.
