Arrived without reservations (but knew there were available sites. Lady and ranger at the gate told us to go pick one out, pay on line and COME BACK to get a tag to hang on the vehicle. Campsites are about a mile from the gate. Couldn’t they have just given us a tag? They had it ready so they knew what site we chose. Bathrooms need updating and cleaning. Absolutely no trash cans in the campground. Have to hike about 1/2 mile to the dumpster. On a positive note, the sites were nice and very level with a great view of the lake. We camped in April in a B Van.

Good place to be if you want to be centrally located for hiking between Atlanta State Park, Atlanta Biking trails and Bringle Lake Wilderness Area to the north. Also a short trail to Rocky Point.

The gatekeepers are absolutely wonderful. The park was very clean and very well kept and if it was available, I would count there you around.
