Rocky Point (Wright Patman Dam) is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained setting, spacious and shaded campsites, and friendly staff, creating a peaceful atmosphere for families. Many visitors enjoy the abundance of wildlife, particularly deer, and scenic sunsets over the lake. While some amenities, like restrooms and swimming areas, could use improvement, overall experiences are positive, with guests expressing a desire to return.

We were here in the off season so there weren't many people. The site was beautiful and the campground is very large. We saw a lot of deer. They didn't seem to be very afraid. Probably got within 25 ft of them.

We had huge ant mounds all over our camp site and the lockable room showers had leaves and trash in them. We said something about it, and they were cleared of trash and leaves but were still really nasty. A splash of bleach could’ve went a long way. Not fun when you are tent camping. Everything else was great.
