As normal we see lots of deer and squirrels. Love watching the wildlife in this park.

Rocky Point (Wright Patman Dam) is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained setting, spacious and shaded campsites, and friendly staff, creating a peaceful atmosphere for families. Many visitors enjoy the abundance of wildlife, particularly deer, and scenic sunsets over the lake. While some amenities, like restrooms and swimming areas, could use improvement, overall experiences are positive, with guests expressing a desire to return.

Site was pretty level. Campground was well taken care of considering all of the rain. The lake was many feet over full but the site was high and dry. We could see the boat ramp that had a pier with a walkway that was usable until the evening before we left and then the walkway was in the water. Close to Atlanta State Park with a few hiking trails I think we managed to get 3 mi, nothing spectacular. Site was a little difficult for a 35 ft 5th wheel. They did have a disc golf course which was mostly shaded which means lots of trees but nice and well maintained very challenging.

We enjoyed our multi-night stay at a full hookup site on Loop A. Overall a good campground.
