What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Point at Wright Patman Dam is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean grounds, and friendly camp hosts, making it a peaceful and enjoyable destination for families and nature lovers. Campers appreciate the spacious sites with great lake views and the variety of wildlife, including deer. However, some reviews mention the need for restroom upgrades and occasional maintenance issues, such as overgrown grass and closed facilities, which could improve the overall experience.

Park is well taken care off. We didn’t have reservations but we’re able to reserve on site.
We got sites C5 and C7 both having lake views. After setting up I told my wife I needed to go to the gate and check in, so I headed out. Lough and behold I got outside and the gate manager was there with our site hangers. I thanked him, everything was fine. We had a nice fire and totally enjoyed the night. We will stay again.
Only complaint: Bathrooms need an upgrade.

Perfect waterfront site! Concrete pad, nice big picnic area, and plenty of shade. Only drawback was that there is no sewer h/u on this site, but you make do. Hosts are very helpful and nice. We love this park! Stay here quite often , and only live 15 miles away.

Online, by looking at the satellite view, we weren't expecting the roads, and part of the campsite, to have pavement or concrete. Everything was clean. Campers all seemed to be having fun. Water was accessible and had a bank at the waters edge for a beautiful view!

We love Rocky Point, however so do the buzzards. We came back from a walk to find a flock of buzzards on top of our motorhome and our vehicle parked next to it. The buzzards chewed the seal on the slides of the motorhome and we will have to get this repaired before putting the slides out again. Upon reporting this, we found others have complained.
