We were here in the off season so there weren't many people. The site was beautiful and the campground is very large. We saw a lot of deer. They didn't seem to be very afraid. Probably got within 25 feet of them.

We had huge ant mounds all over our camp site and the lockable room showers had leaves and trash in them. We said something about it, and they were cleared of trash and leaves but were still really nasty. A splash of bleach could’ve went a long way. Not fun when you are tent camping. Everything else was great.

Love love this park and that there are 50 amp and full hook up sites. Sunsets are beautiful.
Lots of migrating white pelicans, egrets, herons and cormorants. I feel like the maintenance could be better throughout the park. And this is the second year in a row I’ve got stung by fire ants. Wish they would spray to get rid of these pests!!!
