Well the drive from the freeway is 54miles , you leave the civilisation , drive on this beautiful nature , going up crossing Lincoln forest which is beautiful. Then you keep going on this lovely vallon up and down to get to the end of the Road just to enter in the Guadeloupe National park , Dog canyon Campground. You fell so released, finish contact with phone and people , finally just the nature and you . The Campground itself is superb , people said it’s to close to each one but if you respect everything it’s all right , you just have to sleep and to enjoy everything around , especially the beautiful Mule Dear . The amenities were great and Will was very nice to make sure thinks are good all the time , he is a great guy who loves what he does , Thank you again . So it is remote campground, it’s a place to enjoy pure nature , it is not a place for needy people . Yeah Nature pure with amazing view from everywhere, hiking or just at the Campground. Well done to the Rangers to keep it very well . All the best .

Our favorite campground in this whole region of the Southwest. Remote, pristine, excellent facilities for tent camping and GORGEOUS scenery. Great for birdwatching.

We loved our stay here! The campsite was well maintained and beautiful. We visited in July and there was literally NO ONE here so we had the whole place to ourselves for 48 hours. For those hoping for company or support, this would not be the best site. But since we wanted some peace and quiet and did not need any support, it was perfect.
Beautiful short and long hikes from the area. We saw wildflowers, flowering cacti, deer, butterflies, one skunk (who minded his business), and one rattlesnake in the road on the drive out.
Note: The reservation said that wifi was available at the ranger station, but the network appeared to be down so don't rely on that.

Very secluded location. Campsites are a bit close but no closer than most other sites. Didn't expect flush toilets and drinking fountain/bottle filler and wash sink so that was a bonus.
