Such a beautiful location and so clean. Ranger Will (a volunteer) was helpful and very friendly. Be sure to stop at Sitting Bull Falls - beautiful oasis that was definitely worth the drive.

The campsites are clean, and they are set below the parking area so vehicle lights don't intrude into the tents at night. The bathrooms are very clean and the trails are well maintained. Make sure to make a reservation online, but if you do forget the visitor's center supplies wifi. The park rangers there are really nice and friendly. Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay there.

We had #6 which was perfect and shaded most of the time. However, the other sites were much too close together for my comfort so we lucked out with #6.

Well the drive from the freeway is 54miles , you leave the civilisation , drive on this beautiful nature , going up crossing Lincoln forest which is beautiful. Then you keep going on this lovely vallon up and down to get to the end of the Road just to enter in the Guadeloupe National park , Dog canyon Campground. You fell so released, finish contact with phone and people , finally just the nature and you . The Campground itself is superb , people said it’s to close to each one but if you respect everything it’s all right , you just have to sleep and to enjoy everything around , especially the beautiful Mule Dear . The amenities were great and Will was very nice to make sure thinks are good all the time , he is a great guy who loves what he does , Thank you again . So it is remote campground, it’s a place to enjoy pure nature , it is not a place for needy people . Yeah Nature pure with amazing view from everywhere, hiking or just at the Campground. Well done to the Rangers to keep it very well . All the best .

The bathroom at this campsite is a national treasure!
Main things we like about this site:
- no cell phone signal
- cleaning flushing toilets in a structure with electric lighting
- great views in the canyon
- really nice trails
- has a nice sink with running waterfor cleaning dishes
Suggestions if your visiting:
- bring your own water for drinking and cooking.
- try to get there before sundown the drive there can be difficult at night.
- make sure you have any maps you need downloaded to your phone
