What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Rocky Creek Park has become one of our favorite parks to go to for a short stay because it is conveniently close to where we live and because the sites are very well maintained and large. I like being able to kayak on the lake and hike the 3 mile trail there. A lot of the sites do not have shade, but they are nice in winter when more sun is appreciated. The hosts have always been so nice and helpful. This park is also close to Somerville Lake State Park where there are more hiking/biking trails.

The RV campsite was very quiet and was not crowded at all. Very good space for the RV and tow vehicle.

Nice park and beautiful views! Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner but overall, 5 stars!

We've stayed at 2 other parks along Lake Somerville and this was by far our favorite. The grounds were clean, the employees were friendly and the facilities were well stocked as well as clean. The parking issue is a little weird. You are allowed 2 cars per campsite but can't park both vehicles at your site? Regardless we still enjoyed our time at Rocky Creek and will be back.

Great location. Lots of room between sites. Water and electric (30 & 50), and restrooms with showers. Great proximity to the lake and restrooms from the site we stayed in (82). Plenty of shade in majority of sites. Covered tables and fireplaces with grills, at every site. The only thing I didnβt care for was a lack of signage to clearly identify the dump station, and the fact that the dump station itself can only be dumped from one side, and itβs the wrong side for an rv unless you perform a very tight turn on their very narrow road. That road was poorly laid out for all but the smallest of rvβs, and a dump station should be accessible from either side of the road, or at least have adequate roads and turnarounds for all sizes of rvβs. Staff was volunteers, and were always present, friendly, and helpful. Weβre scheduled to visit again; and I wonβt visit a place twice unless I really dig it- which I did.

Campsite was great as always, the bathrooms and sites were all kept clean and the staff are all kind and helpful. We have been coming to Rocky Creek Park for 29 years and love it.

The park has a beautiful view of the lake; however, the restroom facility is not very well kept (no toilet papers) and the campsite has too many sticker weeds which makes it difficult for pets.

Had a great campsite right by the water. Mike (?) at the gate was super friendly and helpful.
Really appreciated the βpatrolβ of the park.
Now, if we could only control the weather! π
