What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Rocky Creek Park is a beautiful place. Spanish Moss hangs from the oak trees like ornaments. The lake is serene with many birds of all sizes. Sunset is perfect as it reflects across the lake. Even the early morning hum of fishing boats is alluring as eager fishermen look for their days catch. The lots are well spaced so we always had the comfort of solitude.
The only negative were the gnats.

The park is one of our favorites. So relaxing and the sites by the water are our favorites. Our only reason for downgrading it is the the barrooms are not maintained well. Tons of bugs and spiders everywhere and they could easily be cleaned. Looks like there are a lot of camp hosts but they certainly aren’t working hard to keep a clean bathhouse. Other than that, the park is well maintained

All good except the restrooms could use some attention

Beautiful Spanish moss adorn every tree while cool breezes blow calmly across the lake and friendly staff greets you with cheers and smiles. Most sites space were well apart, maintained and drained well except for mine during a hard rain but that was not the end of the world for me on this trip. Too much calmness and beauty to be had.
