What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Very peaceful environment. Woke up each morning to the sound of birds singing. No road noise. Beautiful lake seen from all campsites. Sandy beach stretches the whole length of the shoreline, which is great for strolling. Sun rises over the lake, reflecting on the water. Just a short walk to the other side of the park to watch the sun sets over the water, too. Terrain is scattered trees and grass, some taller fields between loops. Open spaces for kicking around the soccer ball with grandkids, throwing a football or playing catch. Boat launch for fishing boats. Lake water level is low right now. This spot on Somerville Lake is rather shallow, so wading out a long way from shore has the water just up past your knees. I didn't wade out myself, but saw a man casting nets way out there, standing in the water mid-thigh. Bathrooms are clean, but no soap dispensers at sinks. Roomy showers with large stone bench and abundant hot water. Only con is the dumpsters are a bit of a hike away from the campsites. We'll definitely be back!

Nice quiet loop we stayed on. Park volunteers were very friendly and accommodating. Bath house was closed for renovation in the loop we stayed on. Water was cut off for less than 10 hrs but we were noticed in advance.

Snagged a lakeside site with great views. Burn ban was an inconvenience. Gate folks were very informative and helpful.

Great site on the water. Good interior road. Beware sticker burrs (goat heads) for your furry family members. Will go back though, many times.

Very nice park. Taken care of well. Lots of deer, which is cool but beware, there were lots of sand burs!

Our time at Rocky Creek Park was amazing. The weather was perfect, and the sunrises and sunsets each day were absolutely magical. We also had a daily visit of the most beautifully majestic bald eagle I've seen in a long time!
