If it is cold and you need to use the facilities be aware they are not heated. Grass areas are full of sandspurs. Your 4 legged kids won't like that.
Various activities and eating places in both College Station and Brenham. Some restaurants and necessities in Somerville.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park was very clean. The kids loved the sand beach next to the lake. Nice trial to walk. Not overcrowded.

Nice heavily shaded spot with ample room and extra parking across from it. Abundant wildlife with lots of deer. Great view of lake and nice boat ramp with courtesy dock.
