We dealt with many of the park staff on our last 8 day stay, they are fantastic. The park is clean and all services are in good repair and fully operational. There are lots of prairie areas in the park and the deer are very active.
15 min away (Somerville, Tx) has Groceries/Dollar store, auto parts store, fuel, some fast food. (Momma's kitchen for the best breakfast). 25min away (Brenham, TX) has most services/amenities visitors might need (wider array of dining, wineries, craft beers, several chain restaurants, Home Depot, Walmart, sporting goods, car dealers) don't miss taking a tour of Bluebell Creamery or stopping by HEB for a excellent grocery experience (try any of their store brand prepared foods for a special treat (they sell $1Millon worth of their brisket queso a week)
The park has recently change the boat ramp access (now limited to just the folks camping/staying in the park) which makes boat trailer parking much easier (vs previous full public access).

Easy to obtain a reserve a site on line. Welcomed by the gate attendant. Very friendly and informative. Truly enjoyable check in.
As always our site was great. No problems, all hookups easy.
It so happened that the Corp of Engineers had planned to remove a dying tree on the site next to us. They were very courteous in asking we move our 2nd vehicle from danger which we did.
We have been coming to Yegua park since its creation. Started skiing on Lake Somerville by launching from the area leading to the overflow before ramps were in use. Spent countless hours fishing on Somerville.

One of our favorite get aways. Lake water was way up this summer. Family atmosphere. Places to eat out in Somerville and Lyons, nice Brookshire Bros grocery in Somerville if needed

Enjoyed our stay at Lake Somerville. The space I was in and noticed other spots that trees need to be planted where trees have died at. I was disappointed that sewer was not available in the camping sites and wished they had level concrete pads for RV parking. There are trails to hike and just walking in the campground area was also nice. Looking forward in going back and exploring other camp ground areas around the lake. The camp host was great.

Nice place. Enjoyed our visits, sans the humidity. Camp hosts very friendly. Campsites were nice. Ours had some shade, which we picked. Big lake. Would go again.

Have been camping here for years. Very nice camping, sometimes the grass needs to be mowed more often.
The bathrooms need to be repaired. Female side only has one working sink for about 4 yrs; the male side is very bad--
toilets not working and showers need repaired. I would love to have wifi access available.
