Never saw a gate attendant.
Never saw any park rangers or anyone in charge for that matter.
The new gate code is ridiculous.
Not letting people in with only boats is ridiculous.
Just didn’t feel safe at all.
Who is in charge?!!
Absolutely no one

It is a beautiful place, easy in and out. Bathhouse was very clean. The sites are spacious. I'm looking forward to returning for a longer stay.

What has changed, have to unlock gates to get in and out of park no one was every at gate. Also how is a person to check in after 7pm if they lock gate up especially on weekends. Gates normally stayed open until 10pm. Seems like alot has changed, are the gate attendance have made there on rules on how this works.

We had a great stay at site #4. Very large site with private area behind and on a corner so only 1 camper beside you. Tons of parking area also. Showers were hot but definitely needed a bit of cleaning attention. The only disappointment I have was that we had to book a site online only. There were plenty of sites available but you could not drive in unless you had an advanced reservation. How silly is this? We originally went to Rocky Creek Campground up the road but the gate was closed and locked with a sign reservations only. We then ended up here. Luckily there was someone in the booth when we drove up and she explained the only way we could stay was to utilize my phone and make an acct. online and then book a site. She was very helpful but Sheesh....Sometimes you just want to go camping. Also...the recreation.gov site does not say "reservations only" so this only adds to the confusion. What if I didn't have a computer or a phone with data...I would have been turned away just like Rocky Creek.
