It was so much better. The grass has been mowed and the stickers are getting better. The boat ramp and dock are very nice, and the host and gate people are very nice and helpful...

the only issue I had was the toilet paper which were missing, Saturday morning which were placed later on. also only one functioning restroom. otherwise I loved it there.

Site 25 with water and electric was level. Most of the sites are pretty close to each other, 2 dump stations, close to water for boating and swimming. Our site had a covered patio over the metal table with a beautiful view of the lake. Good AT&T and Verizon WIFI hotspot. Found a wonderful restaurant (Mama's) in Somerville only a few miles down the road.

We have stayed at this campground numerous times and always enjoy it. We had a great view of the lake but unfortunately we had very windy conditions with thunderstorms so kayaking was out of the question.
The only negative experience was a fellow camper that left his dog outside barking for hours at a time. That’s not the nicest thing to have at 7 o’clock in the morning.

All of the camp host were very well liked by all!—-except for Barney! Make sure the he keeps that (one) bullet in his pocket! Haha

From Austin, Texas, take US 290 east to Brenham. Follow HWY 36 north 11.5 miles to FM 1948. Turn left and follow FM 1948 2.5 miles. Turn right into park complex, following campground signs.

Policies & Rules
General
- No all-terrain or off-road vehicle use permitted in park
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- RV campsites: No more than two (2) camping units and a maximum of ten (10) campers are allowed per campsite. Camping units are defined as any of the following: 1) travel trailer, 2) motor homes, 3) pop-up trailer, 4) pick-up camper/van, and 5) tent. No more than one self-contained camping unit (1, 2, 3, and 4 above) may be placed on an electrical campsite.
- Tent Only Campsites: No more than two (2) tents and a maximum of ten (10) campers are allowed per campsite.
