Love the cove. Camping sites are near the water, and the ramp is easy to access the lake. Sites come with or without electricity, and the restroom and showers are clean. The water is perfect most mornings, and the lake is pretty empty during the week.

Bathrooms/Showers could use a little cleaning. Bugs and spider webs all over. Overall very nice otherwise!

Hurricane Nicholas brought me up to Yegua Creek Campground. Made a quick decision to leave Lake Jackson and head out of the storms path. Sure glad I did as Yegua Creek was beautiful place to ride out the bad weather. After power was back on in Lake Jackson headed back home . The lady in the check-in both was extremely helpful. I plan to return again, hopefully not driven there by a storm. Beautiful campground.

I am really sad that the playground area was torn down and it looks like they are not planning to replace it.
Not sure why the rule changes were made regarding check-in. If you have a spot booked on a day that it is open before 3:00 I don't understand why you can't enter the park when it is available.
Not sure why certain sections of Yegua Creek Park are closed off for certain parts of the year. If it is to avoid cleaning those bathrooms then just shut down those bathrooms. The corp of engineers is probabaly losing money by not offering all sites available 365 days per year. Camping has become very popular since COVID and all spots need to be available. During the Fall and Winter the grass doesn't grow very much to have to worry about doing a lot of extra mowing.
