They were incredibly welcoming and very communicative. They gave us great food recommendations and shared some cool ideas for things to do in Terlingua and Big Bend. The owners are incredibly amazing. Super friendly. The ATv was a great accommodation.

Our stay at Space Cowboys was absolutely unforgettable. The pod was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with incredible desert views and some of the best night skies we’ve ever seen. Everything was thoughtfully prepared — from the easy check-in process to the amenities inside the unit, which had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

The location is perfect for exploring the Big Bend/Terlingua area while still feeling private and peaceful. The hosts were responsive, friendly, and made sure we felt welcome from start to finish.

If you’re looking for a unique desert experience with comfort, privacy, and amazing stargazing, Space Cowboys is the place. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience !! We booked Pod 009 for our family of 4. It was a fantastic location and Slava and Dante were quick to respond with any requests or answer any questions. It was a smaller space with 4 but they were willing to offer a discount on two pods we just chose to stay all in one and we have NO complaints. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The rooms had all you needed! Our kids didn’t want to leave. They especially loved Dingus, the owners dog! If we make it back to Big Bend we will for sure stay here!

We were arriving later than expected so booked a stay last minute and couldn’t have been happier with our decision. It was very easy to find right off the highway. Very helpful staff that made check-in extremely easy. Very clean inside the pods and super comfortable with lots of space. Close walk to restrooms including plumbed toilets and showers that were all kept very clean. Cute and quirky designs. Our daughter loved the galaxy lights in pod 009 and all the aliens to spot. The short hike to the top is worth it with beautiful views and fun casual spots to sit in hammock swings or benches. We liked it so much we returned on our way back through town for another stay in the larger pod 012 which had a great view of sunrise and sunset. We were all able to check out the van stay which was very unique and would definitely do if it was just my husband and I. Overall very impressed with our impulse decision and would highly recommend to anyone we know.

I cannot express how much I enjoyed staying at Space Cowboys. It exceeded my expectations, and is now one of my favorite places to stay. The 360 overlook is amazing and the views are beautiful. It’s so close to Terlingua and Big Bend, making it a convenient location. According to Slava (the host), we stayed in the oldest and smallest dome, but I personally think we had the best space considering it’s the only one with a little balcony. We spend 90% of our time outside but enjoyed meals inside the pod, and was perfect. We made such good use of the space and had no trouble moving around it. I would recommend anyone visiting that area to stay here. It truly felt like home away from home. Can’t wait to be back!
