Clear Springs (TX)

Gentlemen at the gate was friendly and gave us directions to our site E 3. Nice and quiet campground. Roads are narrow into the loops but we are a smaller RV and had no issues. Not many campers this time of year. We love the pine trees and the view of the lake. Love having full hookups but the sewer hook up is at the end of driveway. Luckily he had extra hose. Bathroom and shower house ok and heated but water was cold for shower. We got here on January 25th 2022. We were in the process of adding 6 more days to our stay here but the site wasn’t letting us reserve the night of the 26th so I reserved the site next to us. My husband was moving outside items over to the other site. The office called and said we had to leave. My husband was trying to explain. It was very frustrating and my phone didn’t have much signal here. Had to use my husband’s phone. What are the odds that someone reserved our site for one night with all the empty spots here? It was crazy. We moved to site E1 for the rest of the nights. it’s a handicapped site which my husband is disabled so it was fine. We ended up staying a total of 6 nights. Enjoyed our days here before heading for Florida. We would return here if we ever come this way again.

Just our 2nd night ever camping in an RV. The campground was easy to find and site D15 was easy to back our 18' Micro Minni into. The site was very level and everything worked fine.

We are transiting from KY to TX, NM and AZ and just staying overnight. It is a very peaceful location. We would like to come back and visit for a couple of days sometime in the future.

Didn't realize there had been a controlled burn in the loop we booked so there was a lot of ash, but we were able to easily move to another site for our remaining days. Not much cell coverage where we originally were in E Loop, but plentiful when we moved to B Loop. Nice, clean campground and helpful attendant for moving sites and extending our stay due to weather. Loved the tall pines and plenty of shade. Thank you!

This is a VERY clean campground! Plenty of sites on the water or not, with great campfire rings, water hook-ups, electric and sewer. We have camped here for years and love it because it is a safe, low key campground with great play areas for the kids. The park hosts are super friendly and helpful. Restroom facilities are clean with good showers, some have hotter water than others but overall are good. Park services clean daily. There are a few playgrounds our grandkids enjoyed as well as trails that are easy to hike and well marked.
