What Guests Are Saying
Clear Springs Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with beautiful lake views and plenty of wildlife, making it a peaceful and enjoyable spot for camping. The staff is professional and helpful, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. While some facilities, like certain campsites and bathrooms, could use improvements, the positive aspects far outweigh the negatives, leading many guests to return for future visits.

Typical east Texas environment of tall pine tree forest, so if you like that you'll love this campground. It is clean and well-maintained, with the bath houses and restrooms well supplied, clean, and all facilities working (including air-dryers for hands.) Loop E is terrific because many of the sites are farther apart than in many private and public parks. Loop A looks like it is about ready for some renovation, but the other loops are in good shape (especially Loop B that is near the lake and looks almost new). The only complaint I have is that drainage, at least in Loop E needs to be improved. It started raining the afternoon before I left, continued overnight and was raining in the morning when I was trying to leave. There was a HUGE puddle of water probably 2" deep right where the utility hook-ups are located. I had to try to balance on a piece of broken brick to keep from soaking my shoes and feet trying to unhook water, sewer and electric hook-ups.

Clean park with beautiful view of the lake. Spots are relatively close together but we stayed off season and it wasn't an issue. Would definitely stay there again.

Clear Spring Campground is a very nice place to visit. We have been camping there for several years. In the past we have also camped on the south side of the lake at Rocky Point. We always enjoyed that camping area also. Clear Spring has very informative and helpful gate keepers.

We reserve C13 a couple times a year and stay 2 weeks at a time. This is a stone/concrete hut with awning covered porch. Picnic table on porch. Ceiling fan and metal table inside.
Pros: Fabulous sunsets, close to home, price
Cons: No restroom close
Door was covered in posterboard in the past. They repaired by adding the cheapest handle they could find which does not have a lock. The prior door did. I know if someone wanted in this would not stop them but it gives some idea of security.
For the numerous years we have stayed here, the "street" light above the dock has not been in operation.
The courtesy dock/pier is great but the walkway to get there has many rotted and missing boards. We could not allow our 4 year old to walk out there. It is not deep. It seems would be easily repaired.
All in all the stay was good and enjoyed visiting with old and new friends.
