I had a hard time getting a reservation due to connectivity issues. The check in staff are not able to do anything other than check you in. When I finally got a reservation and went to the site I found that there was an open ground on the pedestal. The gate staff suggested it was a problem with my rig which was never connected. I always check the power before connecting. Several other sites had the same problem. The staff contacted the ranger who offered no help either. After a long wait on the phone I was able to get my site switched. I don't see why we can't have a more efficient and helpful experience. I will certainly not be going back to the camp.

We have been going here for years. It's beautiful and we always have a great time. The hosts are wonderful! We look forward to going back and always hate to leave!!

Clear Springs section is one of our favorites to camp especially on our way to Arkansas park and rest rooms are exceptionally clean. Easy access to the city of Texarkana. D section has full hooks up would like to have 50-amp service for our larger RV TRAILER. B section has 50 amp service and larger narrow sites but no sewer connections, D section is heavily pine wooded all "back in sites" numerous ones the asphalt has buckled not level, and most sites are narrow in all sections. Most sites in D section have limited use to satellite services due to number of trees.

Great view of the lake and easy to back in however, ground looks level, but isn’t. Make sure you have plenty of blocks for your RV jacks.

From Texarkana, take Highway 59 south. Turn right (west) on Farm-to-Market (FM) Road 2148 and follow to Wright Patman Lake entrance. Follow the park road west to the entrance.
The campground is accessible via Highway 59, which is a major road in the area. From Texarkana, travelers can take Highway 59 south and then connect to FM Road 2148 to reach the park.
