The park was well treed with spacious sites. Like most COE parks, the bathrooms are dated but they were clean. Hosts were very nice and helpful.

We stayed at multiple sites over nine days, enjoyed zone 'B' the most and 'E' the least. Very nice campsites, level and widely spaced, beautiful tall trees. Ability to have Amazon shipments was nice.
Issue we had were that in zone 'E' there were so many fires smoldering all day it was almost impossible to breath, even on days where it was 80F. Site E10 specifically was way to close to the fire of the next over site.

From Texarkana, take Highway 59 south. Turn right (west) on Farm-to-Market (FM) Road 2148 and follow to Wright Patman Lake entrance. Follow the park road west to the entrance.
The campground is accessible via Highway 59, which is a major road in the area. From Texarkana, travelers can take Highway 59 south and then connect to FM Road 2148 to reach the park.
