Loved the huge pine trees, fresh air, and the size of the campsites. Plenty of room and friendly staff. Would love to see it in the summer but it was still beautiful in January!

I stayed here overnight while passing through. This was my first car camping experience and the park (and the price) made for a lovely stay. The Recreation.gov app made it easy to make reservations.
The park is gated which was a pleasant surprise for a solo female traveler. The site has a picnic table, fire ring, electric, and water. I'm in a Tesla and got a full charge (50 amp outlet) overnight which is a win for any EV driver.
The setting is beautiful. On the lake, under tall pine trees, peaceful and quiet. The restrooms and private showers are very clean and well kept.
I received a call from the park operator after my first night to check I had made it in as it was after gates closed when I arrived and early when I departed. He also called prior to my second night to let me know he'd left my pass and gate code for me to find...after gates closed arrival again. This personal contact made my decision to stay on my way back through.
The one star I left hanging is because, at some point in the night, there was a sewer smell that lingered for a while. Gone by morning but unpleasant nonetheless.
I would definitely stay again when in the area.

Clean, quiet and nice spots on the water. Unfortunately, the lots are very close together and we were placed close to other campers, despite the fact that there was plenty of space to spread out. One area was closed, and we would’ve liked more privacy there. Also, there was a mystery smoke in the air at night, making it hard to sleep.

Very nice park. Clean restrooms and showers. Corp was putting nice new dump station while we were there. Not open yet but will be nice when done. Definitely will stay again.
