Well worth visiting. The problem getting into the park after hours is in dire need of repair.
Had a Medical emergency that required a Hospital visit. Left before gate closure and was at Hospital until 2:30 am
Arrived back at park and couldn't get back in until 6am. I have stayed in other COE parks that have coded gates and there was never a problem getting in after gate closure. Fortunately this was a 1st for me at Waco. I hope never again. This should be addressed and w\should be an easy fix.

Very nice park. Sites are large with beautiful views. Close to Waco with many things to do. Good breweries and restaurants. Magnolia market and silos are worth the trip. Will definitely come back again.

Pad are asphalt and long. We camp on a Motor home. The MH and the towed vehicle can fit in the pad with extra space. There is a lot of space between pads. It has picnic table a grill and a fire pit. the ground where the grill, fire pit, picnic table, the sewer, water and electric post are crushed gravel and was raked. The place is clean and lake is pretty but was windy when were camping. It was a good place to bike approx 2.5 mile entrance to end. Cell reception (Verizon) was acceptable. We only stayed a couple of night.

We absolutely loved our stay! I originally thought we were going to be on a waterfront site. But, it didn’t matter cause there were beautiful water views from all of our windows! Plus, we had a fire pit, full sized grill, huge COVERED picnic table! Most of the campgrounds we’ve stayed at, where we paid a lot more money doesn’t have half the amenities! The concrete pad was huge! The gravel around the patio was raked and beautiful. There were shade trees and the space between each site was HUGE! Plus, we loved chatting with the sweet ladies at the gate on our way in and out of the park. Oh, there’s more… the park is so big, we biked and walked around the lovely grounds every day. The sunsets, absolutely gorgeous! We’ve told so many others about Airport Park, we’re afraid we might not be able to get in again. We were super close to visiting The Silos at Magnolia and we happened to discover Heritage Homestead. We’ll definitely be back! One of our favorites.
