Airport Park offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, spacious sites, and stunning lake views. Many guests appreciated the friendly staff and the park's cleanliness, making it a preferred stop for both short and long stays. While some areas need maintenance and better signage, overall, visitors found it to be a relaxing getaway and plan to return.

Wanted to go to this park from past reviews from a couple years ago. Had site #17 right on the water. No entrance gate attendant at 2pm on a Thursday. Tree in front of site #17 tore the antenna off my roof, and badly scraped A.C. Units.. Site had a lot of trash around it, and what looked like recent tree removals with big ruts/holes that were not leveled. Half the park was closed not sure why. This park has a lot of potential to be a great park, but parts of it look neglected.. Stay was okay, not sure if I would go back..

Sites 21 & 22 were great pull-through level waterfront sites.
Site 28 was just steps from the shower house & has sewer. (No top to the picnic table on this one).
The Men's showers could use more water pressure.
I recommend a bike ride or walk along the south side of the Brazos River in downtown Waco by the Suspension Bride heading towards Cameron Park enjoying all the great sculptures of the "Sculpture Zoo" along the way. SO nice!!

Clean campsite and restrooms. Our spot was perfect for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Our first time to camp in years and had a great time. We will be back soon❤️

Stayed in February so very quite during the week. Can get noisy with the airport but also enjoyable watching the planes overhead.
