My wife and I spent 3 days and two nights here and had a wonderful relaxing time. The camp was very clean and the restroom and shower were also very clean. We meet a very nice couple and charming older lady traveling the country with her little dog Minnie. It was a quiet park with a beautiful lake. Definitely would recommend park and will return.

We enjoy outings at this park, or its sister park, Lofers Bend East, several times a year. It's a beautiful park with plenty of whitetail deer, birds, squirrels, and other wildlife. There is a view of Lake Whitney from every electric RV campsite in the main camping loops. (Electric sites W01 through W05 are at the entrance to a water-only camping loop and have no lake view.) The main complaint we have is that tree trimming is LONG OVERDUE at BOTH parks. Even most conventional travel trailers will have to dodge trees or risk roof damage or scratches on the sides entering the park and driving the camping loops. Drive slowly, so that you can try to dodge the worst offenders. Sometimes this is impossible if people are parked partially on the camping loop roads. Once at your site, be extremely careful backing in, especially if you have a 5th wheel travel trailer or large motorhome. Even our 36' conventional travel trailer will be scratched or otherwise damaged by overhanging tree limbs in the campsites if we are not totally vigilant. Although it is not condoned by USACE, many frequent visitors know to carry tree trimming equipment from home when visiting these parks. "The Corps" should expect visitors to trim tree limbs to protect their tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars of RV inventments if "The Corpsl" refuses to keep their roads and campsites clear of them for all paying RVers. However, once safely in a site with no limbs contacting your RV, you can expect to have a great time here. We do!

The staff were very pleasant! We had a quiet site along the water. Bathrooms were clean but could use updating! The waterfowl were fun to watch but watching the deer graze was my favorite
