Loved it (more so than spot #23) same amount of shade, in august heat, but we were able to cool it better because I got a portable ac unit to vent outside and we were great. If you have a iffy unit just skip August completely! Lol the park is great, neighbors are nice and always smiling and chatting with the 2 year old granddaughter, and lots of deer to watch. Great for kids or adults wanting alone time. We had both this Labor Day weekend and enjoyed every min of it !

We love to camp here but this was the 1st time in this spot #23 and it was HOT IN THE MIDDLE of SUMMER ( lol who knew a bread box on wheels could hold that much heat huh?) Our AC wasn’t keeping up like we think it should’ve, so we bought a portable air conditioner and vented it outside and we were as good as new! Even better! We have no complaints about McCowan Vally Park and we will stay there often..My 2 year old granddaughter Loved all the deer and she had plenty of friendly neighbors to talk to ;)

Staying at McCown Valley park was fine. Getting there we had some truck issues and called ahead many time but no one answered or called us back after hours. We were 5 minutes late, we arrived at 10:05pm and could not get in the gate. We had to go sleep in our truck over night in a parking lot when we should have been able to get into the park. Don't try to call after hours and expect any response from anyone or the park host!

Arrived on a Sunday. Very hot day but reserve a spot with lots of trees. Could’ve used a good mowing and the lake was down a bit. Stayed in the campsite until Friday. Enjoyed our time there.
