Beautiful setting , great value, and friendly staff. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
The facilities could use some maintenance though. Showers and restrooms needed repairs.

Very nice campground. Only criticism is the RV sites are from not very level to extremely not level. Beautiful views of the lake.

Arrived later than expected but they opened the gate for us and let us in. Exactly as pictured. We set up for the night attaching water and electric quickly and easily. Eclipse could not have been better and we had very few people around us. Perfection. We walked the lake, made a fire, got rained on, cooked marshmallows, had a blast. Public toilets/showers were stocked and had hot water. Packed up and left in the morning. Could not be more pleased. Beautiful lake and lovely people everywhere. Next time we are coming with a boat.

Showers and bathrooms are a little rough compared to state parks.
Sites were large and level.

My wife and I go camping at McCown Valley very often. The campgrounds are always clean and the other campers are well behaved and very respectful of all campers. The roads are in excellent shape and the access to the lake are very good. It has one of the busiest and best boat ramps on the lake. The gate attendants are always very cheerful.
