Magnolia Ridge is praised for its quiet, peaceful atmosphere and well-maintained facilities, making it a favorite camping destination for many. Campers enjoy spacious sites with beautiful views of nature, including wildlife sightings like alligators. While there are concerns about the water access and mosquito presence, overall experiences highlight the campground's charm and the friendliness of the staff.

A beautiful wooded park and campground on the shores of Steinhagen Lake with cypress trees growing out of the shallows near the shore. Our site was paved and mostly level with a concrete picnic table on a concrete pad under a shelter. There was a wood topped table and double lantern post next to a fire ring with a grill. We had a 30 amp electric hookup and water and there is a dump station within the park. There is also a boat ramp. The park is less than a mile from US 190 where there is a gas station/convenience store as well as a Dollar General.
It's about halfway between Jasper, TX and Woodville, TX. Sam Rayburn reservoir is also about 20 mi away. They have hiking trails here but I did not get a chance to walk them, I would definitely return to stay here again.

Nice campground for an overnight stay. Appears it would be a wonderful campground if you're a fisherman. Don't walk your dog near the unmanned check in station. Campground host has a vicious looking and sounding dog tied on a long rope. Thankfully, the rope didn't break when it came charging toward me as I walked our small dog that way, unaware.

This is a Beautiful Park! It’s like you are in a swamp with the Cypress trees in the water. We had some cold and wet weather, so we did not get to see any alligators or do much walking or riding around the trails, but it was still a wonderful park and experience. We had our 35’ FW and had plenty of room for our trailer and truck.

The camp hosts were great. The setting and general spaciousness between sites was appreciated. Our site #17 had the driveway of #18 pretty close like it was planned for two units camping together. We were grateful no one had reserved it during our stay. Nice walking trails, but were a bit puddled from recent storms. It would have been a 5 star rating except for the shower water didn’t get quite warm enough for comfort. Beautiful setting along the cypress tree lined waters. Amazing sunrises from our site. In the country but not far from town. Town had all the conveniences but somewhat of a small town feel. Heritage Village museum & Picket House Restaurant was recommended for us to visit. We found it a good experience.
