What Guests Are Saying

Magnolia Ridge is a well-maintained and peaceful campground with spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and abundant wildlife, including alligators. Campers enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a favorite spot for many returning visitors. While some mention challenges with connectivity and bathroom accessibility, these do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

Not a very big park in regard to number of sites, but its clean and most sites have nice lay out. Some more remote than others to your neighbors. Talk of Alligators here but it too cold for them this week. Magnolia Ridge Park is located on the northwest side of B.A. Steinhagen Lake, between the towns of Woodville and Jasper, Texas. Both towns are close and have a Hospital and Walmart. This park has a ton of walking trails, forest roads and paved park roads to explore.

The park itself is very nice and I would stay here again, however, I would absolutely not stay in site 24 ever again. I have a 35 ft fifth wheel. All four tires where off the ground and we could not get level. This pad needs some work.

Great place. Had to dodge a few tree limbs with out 13 ft tall motorhome but much better than a lot of parks.

Policies & Rules

Arrival & departure

  • Reserved campsites will be held until checkout time the day after arrival; after that, they will be considered a no-show.
  • The park entrance gate closes at night; vehicles may exit but cannot re-enter until morning without the gate code from the email receipt.

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

  • Campsites are limited to two camping structures and a maximum of eight occupants. Camping is restricted to designated sites for up to 14 days within a 30-day period, with a limit of two vehicles per site.
