Mueller Park Group Picnic

Always love this area. We had 45 people at site 17 for a hot dog roast. The kids loved the water and the area was easily accessible for our older parents. Great site with plenty of tables and shade.

It was even better than expected. I wish I had known of the nearby water spigot.

Our group site 17 was perfect for our larger group and activities. We utilized all tables and both grills. Nearby restrooms were decent, flush but no soap. Some toilet tissue. Wish I had known about nearby water spigot. Some dogs off leash from passing people scared group members.

Absolutely perfect. Was well maintained and camp host was around making sure rules were being followed and that people knew he was around.

The camp host was friendly, our site was clean, easily accessible for our family members who needed a bit more help. We had a wonderful night and will be back again!

Great spot for large groups! We were able to park 8 cars, which were packed with teenagers. They had a great time!

The site itself was really nice and enjoyable. The unpleasant part of our experience was showing up to our site with a group already in it. I had reserved the site 2.5 weeks prior after having gone up and walked around to find the perfect site for my son's birthday party. The site has a gradual walk into the creek instead of a drop, so it felt safe for the little kids to enjoy the water. The group insisted the site was a first come first serve site and said they had checked earlier that day and it did not show reserved. I went to find the host. He had a sign outside of his trailer that said they were off duty. Fortunately, the host happened to walk out while I was standing there with someone from the other group. I told him about the issue and the host stated that it was his Sunday and he was off for the day. It was a Wednesday. He said he could see why there was some confusion because he hadn't marked the reserved sites since it was his day off. The host was helpful in backing me up that I did indeed have a reservation and the other group moved. While I understand the importance of having a day off, not marking the reserved sites was quite the inconvenience for both groups involved. I would recommend not reserving a site on a Wednesday to avoid this scenario.

We have hosted family gathering for many yers at Site 17 Mueller Park and have always ha a great t time. But Site 17 is in need of some maintenance. The fire pit is broken, and the tables and benches are in need of sanding and refinishing. We hd three guests from France join us this years, and the condition of the site did not soak well for America.

Always a nice place to spend a summer evening, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire.
