I took a group of 8 and 9 year old girls for a day hike and campfire with s'mores. They LOVED it! The park host was very nice and helpful.

Beautiful area. The campground was clean. Bathrooms were clean. Everyone at other picnic spots were very polite, so neighboring company was great. We took full advantage of the paved path with need for a few walkers. It was very lovely. Only downfall was we stayed until we HAD to be out and started packing up to leave. We passed five campfires still burning with no one around!!! Hello people, this is how big forest fires get started. We came prepared and had the ability to put out our fire and the five that people left going. Maybe remind people using the picnic grounds to extinguish at the end of their visit. We will be back though. It was a great experience and totally worth the money spent.

We had wonderful time with large group of friends. Nice we can reserve a spot.

Don't look for any communication from this site. No confirmation or parking passes. Called and asked 3 times, always promised it would be sent - nothing ever was~!
Also, way over priced! This park was donated by the family who owned it to the area as something people could use and enjoy. These reservations for any of the good spots nullifies that intent by cost.

We were told when making our reservation that the gate would be open to drive up to the covered handicap accessible site, it was not. Picture elderly and handicap guests tugging oversized 100# coolers uphill. Could not find any park host to contact. Parking passes were a super big hassle as well-had to keep running down the hill as guests arrived. The site itself is pretty but unstable broken asphalt makes it impractical for elderly or kids.
