What Guests Are Saying
North Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience amidst stunning scenery and tall trees, making it a favorite among visitors. The facilities are well-maintained, with clean bathrooms, hot water, and good access to hiking trails and the visitor center. While some sites may not be completely level and the reservation process could be clearer, the overall atmosphere and thoughtful hosts contribute to an enjoyable stay.

I did not have my paperwork at first. I thought that the campground would have my record and receipt. I finally found it.

It is a beautiful location, but the campsite really needs to have electricity to move it up on the ratings. It is too cold without electricity to run the heating system so the night was very uncomfortable.

Tent camping on Loop D. Nice campground - each site has a picnic table, fire pit and tent pad. Bathrooms with toilets, sink and electrical outlet in each "loop" which was nice. Utility sink outside available as well which made cooking easy. Great to be so close to the rim trail. Many trees in the campsite but plenty of views of the stars at night.

Site 51 was close to neighbor and a bit unlevel but our 24 foot van fit fine. Being in the park was fantastic for two separate easy rim walks to sunrise overlook and back.

We had B50. It was a parallel parking spot meaning 2 of us parked head to tail. We were literally 4’ away from the camper in front of us. NOT GOOD!!! However, after the first night, the host kindly found us another spot. Just beware of where you are.

Well laid-out campground overall. Easy access to the Rim Trail.
Our site specifically was fine- spacious enough, plenty of room to park our van, very clean.
The bathrooms would normally be pretty close to this site- just a short walk up the hill- but they were closed for maintenance at the time of our visit (no big deal-maintenance happens)!
We used the facilities over at the B Loop instead and they were also clean and blessedly warm (it was quite chilly when we were there).

We had site 30 and it was great. Level ground and very spacious with an outside table. The campground is also very nice, clean bathrooms and a short walk to the Visitor Centre from loop A. Also walkable distance to the sunrise point which is great for an early morning

Sites in loop B are very small less one that is largest enough for a motorhome. Be prepared to level your unit. Everything else was great.

Nice campground with walking distance to the Visitor Center, laundromat, general store and some nice hiking trails. There's a sink by the bathrooms where you can do your dishes and there are water pumps with drinking water. The RV dump and water fill station was not working but the signage posted on the boards, and even at the sani-dump stated it was available. We had to ask a park ranger and he advised it was closed for repairs - would have been good to have this information posted online and at the site information boards.
The campground is at high elevation, so in late April it was below freezing at night.
