This is an absolutely beautiful place with wonderful hikes! The campground was great! We were in a tent only loop and it was clean, quiet, and close to the trail. The camp hosts were super nice, too.

The park is stunning. The North Campground itself is nothing special--no views and located on a sloping area. Fairly close to the viewpoints though, at least by bike or car, as well as the Shared Use path. Signs posted at campground warn of potential plague exposure.

The campground is basically an unleveled parking lot near the Visitor Center. The restrooms were fairly clean, but with no hot water and nothing to dry your hands. The showers are not close to the camping sites, and you need to pay for them ($5 for 8 minutes) - information that we got on the internet, because nobody was available to check-in. Worst of all issues, the ONLY dumping station was clogged when we needed it. MAJOR problem. A good feature that we only saw at this campground was a box to "take it or leave it", an exchange of things people may need or not use anymore. That was a great idea and I wish other campgrounds would do the same.

We tent camped at site #100. Overall it is a good location but there was no place on the site to put a 4 person tent on a totally level spot. We ended up putting our tent very close to the picnic bench for the most level location we could find. This was our second time camping at the north campground and we liked this site much better than the previous one was stayed at (site #86). What is great about camping at the north campground is how close you are to the rim trail. We walked about 10 minutes each morning to see the sunrise over the canyon - don't miss this experience! The bathrooms were very clean and there is a nice wash sink outside the bathrooms for doing dishes. The showers at the general store are pretty bad and the men's shower had zero hot water but at least they are an option. In general Bryce isn't my favorite national park to camp in but it's convenient to stay inside the park.

From Highway 89 approximately 7 miles (11 km) south of Panguitch, Utah, travel east on Highway 12 for about 14 miles (22.5 km). Turn south on Highway 63 to the main entrance of Bryce Canyon National Park. North Campground is the first left turn after passing through the fee station.
North Campground is accessible via Highway 89 and Highway 12. It is located approximately 7 miles south of Panguitch on Highway 89 and about 14 miles east on Highway 12.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

Utilities
- Campsites do not have hookups; potable water is available, and a dump station is free for registered campers.
- Portable showers and toilets are not allowed; waste disposal is only permitted at the dump station.
Vehicles & parking
- Check driveway length to ensure your vehicle fits in the designated site space.
- Do not remove campsite furniture or park on unpaved areas; overflow parking is available if needed.
Safety & rules
- Hammocks and any items cannot be hung from trees in the park.
- Be cautious of altitude sickness due to high elevation.
- Generators are allowed only in Loops A & B during specified hours.
- No extra lighting is allowed in campsites to preserve dark skies.
Site capacity
- Maximum of 6 people per site; 1 RV and up to 3 tents allowed per site.
- Commercial group camping and large family group reservations are not allowed.
Fires & fuel
- Collecting firewood and natural materials in the park is prohibited; do not move firewood from other locations.
Pets
- Pets must be leashed and cannot be left unattended; they are not allowed on trails.
Site types & loops
- Loops C and D are exclusively for tent campers and small camper vans; trailers and RVs are not allowed.
