What Guests Are Saying
Sunset Campground offers a beautiful and quiet setting within Bryce Canyon National Park, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms and spacious campsites surrounded by trees. Its convenient location allows easy access to hiking trails and scenic viewpoints, enhancing the camping experience. While some sites may be too small for larger RVs and cell service is limited, the overall atmosphere and amenities make it a highly recommended destination for nature lovers.

I arrived at the park and was given my instructions to proceed to the campground and was told the reservation tag would be on the post. When I got to my campsite it was occupied by another vehicle, a rental campervan. My reservation tag with my name on it was on the campsite post, totally disregarded by the poachers. There was no one in the camper or on the site, they’d apparently set up and gone into the park. I waited around, looking for the camp host, learning there wasn’t one at the time. I left a note voicing my displeasure on the camper van and decided not to waste any more of my day on this unfortunate situation.
Because the campground was full I then had to leave the park and find a campsite at a nearby campground for which I had to pay (again!!) for my two night stay to visit Bryce Canyon National Park.
Because of the recent budget cuts and staffing shortages I couldn’t find any rangers or get any answers on the phone. I realize this is not the fault of the park staff but our current administration and for this I am truly disgusted.

Beautiful campground, wonderful for car camping. An easy walk to sunset point, also to sunrise point not much further. They are aptly named, and the light from each event shows the canyon beautifully - at the right time!

Beautiful site, pretty level and close to the entrance to make biking to either Sunset or Inspiration Point for sunrise or sunset possible. Site itself was on the smaller side compared to others we have stayed at in at National Parks, and back in could be difficult for some folks due to location of trees.

The restrooms were clean and warm and it was a quiet comfortable place to stay. It is not far from the trail so you can bike to the park viewpoints or down to Ruby's Inn for and ice cream.
