Really great campsites that are close to town, amenities, and such beautiful country. We stayed in Loop A then moved to Loop D for the last day of the season. We easily had the two best sites out of each loop. The first site Loop A 26 was clean and in a great location. This site, 87, was left poorly by the previous campers so we had a cleanup session before laying out camp. Small footpaths go up the hillside where you can stroll for a little walk, it’s just really pretty. The neighboring camp was SO loud. Let me say that again.. SO Loud after quiet hours. But we get it, last day of the season right? On that last day we caught a flat leaving one of the trails, which delayed our packing up camp. The camp host came by kind of rudely to tell us to get out, which was unlike our previous encounters with him. He ended that conversation by telling us “Vamanos” which threw me for a loop. Just because I’m brown doesn’t mean I’m Hispanic? Chalk it up to ignorance or whatever but we still got the white superiority vibes here. We’ll cherish the beauty of the place but the ugliness of the people makes us sad!! Camp hosts are meant to make people feel welcomed, not make them weigh their wonderful experiences and memories against their dignity. Dropped a star for that reason, we’ll give it a few seasons before considering a return.

Fred (camp host) was fantastic. He let us trade sites from a different loop to one in his as he had an open site that was bigger and closer to the bathrooms, which was important since we had some young kids who were in the middle of potty training! Our site was great, bathrooms were decently well kept. No soap, but we had our own. Honor system for getting wood (you put cash in a box and grab the wood you needed). Nice, casual campsite!

Beautiful campsite. Unfortunately, there were little pieces of garbage like coat hangers and paper products strewn about the campsite. The restrooms were fairly clean but one of them had some toilet paper on the floor. My issues are not with the camp host, but with the campers who should no better.

We have been camping here for about 20 years. We love the area so much. It is beautiful and relaxing. Due to the fact that I was recuperating from surgery, we spent more time in camp than usual. But, that was not a negative. It is wonderful just to sit out under the trees and watch the squirrels, and chipmunks scurry around collecting food to add to their winter cache. The Steller Jays were very busy as well. You always have to remember that we are the visitors and this is their home.
We have a 5th wheel and we had family with us who have a motor home. We spent a lot of time in camp playing games and sitting around a campfire in the evening. We could only stay a week as I am in Physical Therapy and didn't want to miss many sessions, but my family stayed longer. Wish we could have stayed with them. Next summer we will definitely be back!!
