What Guests Are Saying
Pine Valley Recreation Area is praised as a hidden gem in southern Utah, known for its immaculate and well-maintained campgrounds, friendly camp hosts, and beautiful surroundings. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, including pit toilets, and the availability of shaded picnic areas. Though there was a temporary issue with potable water, most campers had a wonderful experience and plan to return.

The camp host didn't have computer capability to check (FF)first come first serve areas. She said she would have to pay for her own internet I tried to tell her I was just online and saw an open area I would like to claim. She said she couldn't let me have the area till she heard from her mgr.the next day if the spot was really open and told me to check back with her at 3pm. We packed the trailer up and were out of our spot by 11am.,went fishing and checked back with her by 3 and the spot was given to another. So disappointing. This could have had a different ending if.. 1. She called her mgr to confirm the FF I told her about(because she didn't believe me) or 2. Had computer availibility to confirm the FF area.

We love Pine Valley Campgrounds. We reserved the Effie Eckstrom Pavillion area for our reunion. We spent one of the days at Veyo Pools, swimming, playing pickleball, walking the river and catching crawdads, and having a picnic.
We love getting out of the heat and the camp hosts were great. They keep the bathrooms nice and clean morning and night!
We brought games like 9 squares, spike ball, and a long skate board. Of course, the tails are wonderful for a brisk morning walk.
Some of the kids slept in their hammocks. We had trailers, tents, camp stoves, etc. which made it very nice for community dinners and night-time fires in the pit, making s'mores and roasting Starbursts! We ranged in ages 5-71 and all had a great time!

Someone was camping in our reserved site with no one around. We had to find another open place, fortunately we found one. Couldn't find the camp host so left a message so they could learn of our problem.
